Technical Manager - Somerset West

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the Technical Department and uphold quality on every
installation and service call.
Hands-on knowledge of CCTV and alarm products, programming,
wiring and commissioning.
Plan and allocate jobs so work is completed timeously, in line with
Sales commitments.
Work closely with the Sales team on site surveys, technical
specifications and quotations.
Oversee departmental finances: costing, job profitability, invoicing
support and budget control.
Order materials, manage stock levels, suppliers, tools, vehicles and
equipment readiness.
Train, supervise and support technicians; escalate and resolve
complex faults on site.
Ensure compliance with PSIRA, OHS, manufacturer specifications
and company SOPs.
Maintain accurate job cards, handovers, documentation and
quality-assurance checks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric. Technical diploma / N-certificate in Electronics, Electrical or IT
advantageous.
Proven experience as Technical Manager or Senior Technical
Supervisor in electronic security.
Strong product knowledge of CCTV (Hikvision, Dahua and similar)
and leading alarm platforms.
Practical installation experience: cameras, NVRs/DVRs, alarm
panels, beams and related systems.
Working knowledge of IP networking for CCTV (PoE, cabling, remote
viewing) advantageous.
Access control and electric fencing knowledge will be strong
advantage.
Demonstrable experience managing departmental finances, stock
and material ordering.
Ability to lead field teams and work under pressure across multiple
live jobs.
Valid driver’s license. Own reliable vehicle advantageous.
PSIRA registration essential (Grade B or higher preferred).
Computer literate (MS Office, job documentation and stock systems).
Fluent English; Afrikaans advantageous. Based in / able to cover the
Western Cape.
